Don’t freak out – we’ve got it under control

Many of you, I’m sure, are getting ready to submit those applications within the next few days (if you haven’t already) to make the December 15 Scholars deadline. For others, the January 15 Regular Decision and Early Decision II deadlines are just a month away. Transcripts and letters and supplements are descending upon our office in droves, and a big shout-out goes to our wonderful Operations staff, who so meticulously process materials and prepare application folders for review. Trust me, they do a phenomenal job taking care of every application we receive.

How ’bout them Spiders?!

A shout-out today goes to the University of Richmond football team, who beat three-time defending national champion Appalachian State on Saturday to advance to the national FCS semifinals. GO SPIDERS!!! Not only was this App State’s first playoff loss since 2004, but it was a rematch of last year’s semifinal, which also pitted Richmond against ASU at their home.

Richmond Scholars Deadline and Early Decision

As many of you know, the Richmond Scholars application deadline is fast approaching: December 15 is just over a week away. Any application we receive by December 15 will automatically be considered for the Richmond Scholars program. There’s no additional application required (unless you intend to apply for the Artist Scholarship), and the deadline is in no way early or binding – we set an earlier date so we have time to review those applications and forward them to the faculty scholarship committees.
